The mobile application Trails of Silesia and Opole Province presents the routes of virtually all tourist trails in the provinces of Silesia and Opole, as well as related tourist attractions.
It is a practical tool for modern tourists, allowing them to navigate tourist trails and giving them access to a rich database of information about the most interesting places located in their vicinity. The application uses the same data about objects and trails that are presented on the map and on the website at www.slaskieopolskie.szlaki.pttk.pl
The mobile application allows you to view various types of maps of trails located in Silesia and Opole Province. Each trail has been assigned objects, including interesting sightseeing and nature spots (landscape parks, reserves, water reservoirs, etc.) and other objects attractive to tourists. You can also find a lot of information about the villages and towns through which the trails run.
The application provides information about each trail: its type, colour, symbol, length, total elevation gain and loss, elevation profile, and estimated time remaining from the current location to the end points of the trail. After downloading the altitude data, you can see the altitude above sea level for any point on the map. The application not only allows you to navigate along a selected trail, but also offers the option of determining the route to a selected point and searching for interesting places nearby. It also allows you to record the route you have travelled, and then save, share and export it as a .gpx file. It also allows you to load and save a route created on the map of the Silesia and Opole Region Trails platform.
The application uses GPS technology and, in offline mode, displays data about trails and places, as well as previously downloaded Open Street Map areas.
