The Arsenal in Nysa is a structure that was erected from red brick in the second half of the 19th century on the bank of the Nysa Kłodzka river. From around 1924, the building served as a library, and then it was the seat of the East German Workshops of Christian Art and Artistic Crafts. During this period, studios for ceramics, metal, embroidery, woodcarving, and painting operated in the building, and apartments for artists, exhibition halls, and lecture halls were also created. The workshops mainly dealt with creating prototypes and pattern models of devotional items of a high artistic level, later offered for duplication.
In the 1930s, the facility regained its original function. The building survived World War II without major damage. Currently, the building houses an entertainment center with a bowling alley and a restaurant.
