The Missionary Museum on Mount St. Anne is located on the first floor of the Baroque Franciscan monastery dating back to the 17th century. It was founded by the Franciscan Erwin Schiprowski, who came from Latvia. Originally, it was located in the neighboring Pilgrimage House and collected memorabilia related to the Franciscan order in Silesia and sacred objects. The contemporary collection also includes items brought by monks from foreign missions, including a collection of Chinese coins, which was donated to the museum by the Franciscan missionary Wilhelm Kluge Maurus, originating from Kłodnica near Kędzierzyn-Koźle, who conducted an evangelization mission in the Far East. Furthermore, temporary exhibitions are organized in the museum. Practical information: The facility is generally accessible. Paid parking at Kopernika Square.
