The Museum of the Opole University of Technology and X-ray Tubes in Opole is the only place of its kind in the world. The facility, located on the premises of the II campus of the Opole University of Technology, was opened in 2011, on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the university's existence and on the anniversary of the discovery of X-rays by Wilhelm Röntgen. The foundation of the collection was the private collection of Dr. Eng. Grzegorz Jezierski – an employee of the Opole University of Technology.
The museum's collection contains over 1,000 unique exhibits, including equipment for various applications: medical, industrial, X-ray diffraction, and X-ray fluorescence tubes. The museum's collections also include a collection of books concerning X-ray radiation and a set of artistic X-ray photographs authored by artists from all over the world.
