The Contemporary Art Gallery in Opole is a place where one can view the contemporary art of artists from the Opole region, Poland, and abroad.
The history of the gallery dates back to 1958, when the Bureau of Artistic Exhibitions was established in Opole. To this day, the institution has organized over 3,000 exhibitions.
In past decades, it was possible to view works there by, among others, Władysław Hasior, Edward Dwurnik, Jerzy Duda-Gracz, Zdzisław Beksiński, Józef Szajna, and Jerzy Grotowski. A permanent highlight in the calendar of events of the Opole Contemporary Art Gallery is also the World Press Photo exhibition, which has been attracting thousands of visitors for years.
