The permanent exhibition of the works of Jan Cybis is presented in the Gallery of the Museum of Opole Silesia. It is the largest collection in Poland of works by the painter born in the village of Wróblin near Głogówek in the Opole region in 1897, and who died in Warsaw in 1972. Currently, at the permanent painting exhibition arranged on the ground floor of the building, one can see 40 paintings by the leading representative of the colorist movement in the painting of the 1930s and post-war art. This is a selection from the Opole collection, which totals 90 oil paintings, over 800 works on paper, as well as items belonging to the artist – textbooks, school supplies, elements of apartment furnishings, and tools used to arrange still lifes. On the first floor of the gallery, exhibitions of works by artists from the painter's circle and laureates of the Jan Cybis Award are organized. Practical information: Free admission.
