The Old Synagogue in Opole was built in the Neoclassical style in the 1840s, on the initiative of local Jewish families. The funds for its construction were obtained from donations, collections, investment loans, and the purchase of prayer seats. The ceremonial opening of the synagogue was performed by the Wrocław rabbi Abraham Geiger.
On the ground floor, there were rooms for the school and the administration office of the community, while the main prayer hall was on the first floor.
At the end of the 19th century, two extreme avant-corps were added to the building according to the design of Felix Henry. Soon after, the synagogue was sold by the Jewish community and adapted into Erdman Raabe's lithographic plant.
In the 1950s, the building housed a bookstore warehouse, and currently, it is the headquarters of TVP3 Opole.
