The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lasowice Małe was built in the second half of the 17th century on the site of an older temple dedicated to St. James, which is mentioned in 15th-century sources. The building is distinguished by its log construction and a tower tapering towards the finial. Inside the church, the furnishings are mostly in the Baroque style.
In the 1990s, the church was robbed of many elements of its historic furnishings. Most of them have been recreated, and the historical objects were transferred to the Diocesan Museum in Opole. The remaining elements of the interior include, among others, a Baroque main altar with twisted columns from the early 18th century and framed side altars with woodcarving decoration. The ambo dates back to the 17th century, and the wooden pulpit is from the 18th century.
