The Cemetery Church of St. Barbara in Strzelce Opolskie is located near the castle ruins surrounded by a vast landscape park and the prison complex from the 19th century. The temple was built at the end of the 17th century on the site of an older church from the beginning of the 16th century. Its builder was the carpenter Jan Brixi (Brychcy), who was entrusted with the work on the church by Anna Baas, wife of Florian Weiser, mayor of Strzelce Opolskie, who together with his brother financed the creation of the temple.
The wooden object with a Baroque turret with a bulbous helmet and lantern and arcades is distinguished by its log construction.
The main altar with gilded columns and figures and two side altars date from the second half of the 17th century. The pulpit was built in the Late Renaissance style and dates from the beginning of the 17th century. The organs are dated to the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries.
