The Church of St. Anthony of Padua was built in Łomnica at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. Its patrons were St. Catherine and the Holy Spirit. In 1917, it was moved to Sowczyce, where it received a new dedication – St. Anthony. After the construction of a new temple – in the 1960s – it became a cemetery church. The wooden object with a small turret is distinguished by its log construction.
Inside, one can see a Baroque altar and pulpit with a sculpture of a pelican – a symbol of Jesus Christ, 19th-century wooden Stations of the Cross, and figures and paintings in folk style.
The church is located in the vicinity of the cemetery, where, among others, anonymous participants of the 3rd Silesian Uprising are buried.
