The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Wierzbica Dolna is a 1939 reconstruction of a post-evangelical temple from the second half of the 17th century, founded by Melchior von Studnitz. An original element of the building is the 16th-century church tower.
Inside on the nave wall, a small fragment of the ceiling from the 17th century with the scene of the Last Judgment is visible, which is decorated with a folk-Renaissance frame with motifs and plant decoration dating from the 17th century. The Baroque main altar dates from the first half of the 18th century. It is decorated with sculptures of angels and the Risen Christ. The Baroque-style pulpit comes from around the mid-18th century. It features painted figures of the four evangelists by Salvator Mundi on the parapet and Moses, Aaron, and St. John the Baptist on the staircase parapet. The organs date from the beginning of the 18th century.
The church is surrounded by a small park with a pedunculate oak – a nature monument.
