The filial church of the Ascension of the Lord in Krzyżowice is a Gothic temple lying on the Trail of Brzeg Polychromes.
The oldest mention of the temple comes from the second half of the 14th century. The brick presbytery is dated to the 15th century, and the wooden nave and tower – to the end of the 16th century. The church furnishings consist of Renaissance 16th-century stalls, a Late Renaissance pulpit from the 17th century, a Mannerist altar crowning with a painting of the Crucifixion, Baroque figures of saints, an 18th-century angel figure supporting the bowl of a two centuries older stone baptismal font, 18th-century organs, and stained glass windows from the early 20th century from the Wrocław workshop of A. Seiler.
In the presbytery, there is also a Gothic figural polychrome from the beginning of the 15th century imitating tapestries. It depicts scenes of the Adoration of the Magi, Crucifixion, Martyrdom of the Ten Thousand, and figures of Saint George and Jesus Christ. The southern wall is covered with plant and geometric decoration.
