The Church of St. Urban in Głębinów, located on the shore of Lake Nysa, was built at the end of the 19th century. The founders of the new temple were Jadwiga and Urban Kunze, who also built a multi-story rectory on their family estates.
Currently, the temple is a place of worship of St. Rita. It is the third – after Nowy Sącz and the sanctuary of St. Rita in Smolna – sanctuary of this saint in Poland.
A reliquary with engraved roses is placed on the right side of the church, by the side altar dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Every 22nd day of the month, services in honor of St. Rita are held in the church, combined with the rite of blessing roses.
Practical information: The church is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. For organized groups, upon prior notice, it is possible to present the life story of St. Rita as well as to prepare a service in her honor.
Admission free.
Visiting time: 1–1.5 hours.
The unguarded Głębinów parking lot is located 250 m from the church.
