The Church of St. John the Baptist and St. Nicholas in Nysa (Górna Wieś) was built in the style of the second half of the 18th century. It is a late Baroque, single-nave temple with a tower in the western part.
The previous church dedicated to St. John the Baptist in Górna Wieś was built in the Middle Ages. In connection with the modernization of defensive walls and fortifications, it was demolished in the second half of the 17th century. In the 18th century, the place of prayer for the parishioners of the village was a wooden chapel near the sheepfold in Górna Wieś. The current church together with the rectory were built in a different place, more than a kilometer to the southeast from its predecessor.
The interior design consists of classicist elements, such as side altars and a pulpit, as well as objects of artistic craftsmanship, made by the Nysa goldsmith Henryk Leopold Lieber, as well as several Baroque paintings.
