The Church (of Minorites) of St. Peter and Paul in Brzeg is a Gothic temple dating from the 13th century. During the fire of Brzeg at the end of the 15th century, the object was destroyed, and its renovation coincided with the creation of a net vault of the nave inside, which became a model for other churches in the Opole region and Silesia. After the introduction of Lutheranism in the city by Duke Frederick II of Legnica in the 1520s and its abandonment by the Franciscans, the temple was taken over by the city, and at the end of the 16th century Duke George II rebuilt it into an arsenal. In the 1930s, the facility housed a fire station, and then a depot. During the flood in 1997, the tower and part of the building walls collapsed. Currently, the church is not used. Practical information: The facility can be viewed from the outside. Parking at the Mill Square (Plac Młynów) (paid parking zone).
