The Church of St. Giles and Bernardine and the Franciscan monastery in Głubczyce is a complex of buildings created in the second half of the 18th century. It was built according to the design of Jan Innocenty Töpper from Prudnik. The objects stood in the place where in the 15th century Duke John III of Głubczyce – Přemyslid of Opava-Głubczyce founded an earlier monastery complex. The Baroque church, four-winged monastery with a viridarium, i.e., a garden, and a gymnasium visited by Frederick the Great – King of Prussia, is located in the eastern part of the city.
In the church, one can see 18th-century furnishings made by Antoni Oestereich, with paintings by Józef Havelka from Brno.
