The Monastery of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate was built at the foot of the Opawskie Mountains, near the reservoir in Nysa and in Otmuchów. It was funded for the Jesuit order in the first half of the 17th century by the Bishop of Wrocław Charles – brother of Queen Anna, wife of Sigismund III Vasa, residing in Nysa. The monastery, which in this period bore the name Villa, was a place where students of the prestigious Collegium from Nysa came once a week for all-day relaxation. After the destruction of the school building, the institution was moved to Bodzanów.
With the dissolution of the order in 1810, the monastery became the property of the magnate Maubeuge family. German Oblates from Wrocław arrived at the former Jesuit monastery in 1932. Currently, the monks run a retreat house with accommodation.
The monastery is surrounded by a park with a lake with walking paths and stations of the Cross.
