The palace, park, and grange complex in Szymiszów belonged to one of the most important clans of Silesia – the Strachwitz family.
The two-story palace building – created in the mid-17th century – represents the Baroque style. Its founder was Wilhelm von Warlowski, owner of Szymiszów. In 1831, the estate was purchased by the Strachwitz family, whose property it remained until 1945. The edifice burned down during the 3rd Silesian Uprising in 1921. Along with the reconstruction after 1945, it began to serve as a hospital, and then a social welfare home. Next to the palace stands a granary preserved from the old grange buildings.
The park adjoining the palace with an artificial canal was created on the site of an 18th-century garden. Protected plant species and century-old trees occur in it.

The interiors of the palace can be visited by arrangement with the management of the Social Care Home. The granary is accessible from the outside.
