The Philo vom Walde Monument in Głubczyce commemorates the dialect poet Johannes Reinelt, who was born in the town in 1858. The creator, living at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, was a writer, poet, and teacher, working among others in Wrocław and Nysa. To this day, he is famous as a creator of poetry in the Silesian dialect, including the regional anthem of Silesia – "Mein Schlesierland."
The sculpture with a fountain, designed by Josef Obeth – an artist from Jesenik, is located in the municipal park. It was built in the 1920s.
