The Town Hall in Grodków is a classicist building standing on the Grodków market square. It was erected in 1840 according to the design of Philippi, an architect from Opole, on the site of an earlier building from the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries destroyed in a fire. Currently, it is the seat of the Civil Registry Office and other public institutions.
The oldest part of the town hall is the Gothic-Renaissance tower, 36 meters high, with a Baroque helmet with a clearance. From the original town hall edifice, a pointed Gothic portal located in the northern part of the town hall as well as Gothic barrel vaults and some ground floor rooms have also been preserved to this day. In the hall of the building, there is a plaque with an inscription and the coat of arms of the Bishop of Wrocław Baltazar Promnitz, and in front of the building stands a bust of Józef Elsner – a composer born in Grodków and teacher of Fryderyk Chopin.
