The first mention of the parish church in Kamień Śląskicomes from the second half of the 13th century.
Saint Hyacinth Odrowąż (Św. Jacek), born in Kamień Śląski in 1183, became the patron of the church after canonization in 1594. The original wooden structure of the temple burned down during the Thirty Years' War, and a new building in the Baroque style stood on its ruins in the first half of the 17th century. At the beginning of the 20th century, the church was enlarged by two side naves, and in subsequent years a Baroque portal and main entrance door with a figure of St. Hyacinth were added. The figure of the saint is also present in the main altar.
In the church, there are marble epitaphs of Ludwig Hyacinth von Larisch and his wife Sophia, placed on the wall near the left side altar. On each of them, there are coat of arms cartouches and portraits of the deceased made on sheet metal. Other epitaphs inform about the burial of members of the von Strachwitz family, the last private owners of Kamień.
The church is surrounded by a limestone wall with niches depicting the stations of the Cross and embedded tomb plaques. By the parking lot near the church, there is a sandstone figure of St. John of Nepomuk originating from 1784, funded at the end of the 18th century by Balthasar von Larisch. It is placed on a pedestal with the coat of arms cartouche of the Larisch family.
