The Castle in Białawas most likely built by the Opole Piasts in the 16th century in the Renaissance style, on the site of an earlier stronghold. It was subsequently rebuilt in the early Baroque style in the 17th century. The building consists of three wings with cloisters and a quadrilateral tower topped with a Baroque helmet roof. A distinguishing element of the facility is the four-story tower crowned with a high helmet, which was created in the first half of the 17th century as part of the reconstruction commissioned by the Prószkowski family, owners of the castle from the second half of the 16th century. Fragments of Gothic walls from the 14th and 15th centuries have also been preserved to this day, which may indicate that the facility was also surrounded by a wall connected to the municipal fortifications. At the end of the 19th century, the castle passed to the town, which allocated it for educational purposes. After World War II, the buildings were used for clothing warehouses. The facility is currently private property. In the near distance from the castle stands a historic water tower, and in the town market square – the brick Prudnik Tower.
