The tower of the St. Nicholas church in Włodzienin is a remnant of the Gothic church that stood by the Włodzienin castle. Its existence is reminded today by a historic bridge with the figure of St. John of Nepomuk. The tower, crowned with a wooden observation deck, is located on a hill, thanks to which on clear days you can see the Głubczyce plateau, the towers of the church in Głubczyce, and the Czech Jeseníky mountains from it.
The facility is located in the Włodzienin History Park with 32 archaeological sites, which are the remains of medieval strongholds and Bronze Age settlements.
Practical information:
In the summer season, the observation deck is available on Saturdays and Sundays from morning to dusk. On weekdays, sightseeing is possible by prior telephone arrangement, tel. 77 485 73 61, 485 70 78. Free admission. Free parking spaces along the road.
