The pyramid in Rożnów is the colloquial name of the 9-meter tomb of August Freiherr von Eben und Brunnen. He was a general of the Prussian army and the owner of the Rożnów lands. He was buried in the tomb along with 28 family members. The pyramid was designed and built in 1780 by Carl Gotthard Langhans, the architect responsible, among other things, for the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. The tomb is a miniature of the Egyptian pyramids. The shape of the structure was intended to cause the bodies of the people placed in it to undergo mummification after death. The tomb was breached in 1945 by Red Army soldiers. In recent years, the facility has been restored and fenced off. Additional information: The facility can be viewed from the outside. The facility is generally accessible. Free parking spaces on Różnowska Street.
