The shelter on Przednia Kopa in Głuchołazy is a recreational facility built in the first half of the 20th century. This took place during a period when the town was a popular health resort, frequented by many tourists and spa guests. The shelter was created along with the opening of a 16-meter observation tower resembling a medieval guardhouse, on the initiative of the confectioner Paul Galle, who previously ran a buffet for tourists on the hill. The shelter had guest rooms, a kitchen, utility rooms, a buffet, and a playroom. The building was equipped with central heating and electric lighting.
After World War II, the shelter was devastated, and the tower was lowered by 5 meters on the orders of military authorities. At the end of the 1950s, the shelter facility was transformed into a holiday resort.
In the early 1990s, the building burned down. Currently, work is underway to relaunch the shelter.
