Siestrzechowice is a village located in the Nysa district, in the Nysa municipality. The village first appears in sources in 1374 under the name Graniów. It is located on the southern shore of Lake Nysa, which influences the popularity of the town as a tourist destination. Due to the good stocking of the lake with fish, it is visited by anglers. Agritourism farms also operate in Siestrzechowice. The showcase of the village is the palace complex from the end of the 16th century. It was founded by the Bishop of Wrocław – the Duke of Nysa, Andrzej von Jerin, intended as a residence for the bishop's nephew – also Andrzej von Jerin, who served as a court judge, and his wife Barbara von Metzger. In the room of the former audience hall, and later the chapel, a unique set of heraldic polychromes was made at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. It is a memento of the times when Siestrzechowice became the main center of episcopal, but also viceregal power in Silesia. A grange operated next to the palace, constituting an economic establishment typical for this area.
