Wójcice is a part of the town of Otmuchów, and until January 1, 2018, it was a village in the Nysa district, in the Otmuchów municipality. They are situated on the Nysa Kłodzka river, between artificial water reservoirs, i.e., Lake Nysa and Lake Otmuchów. Wójcice lies in a range of hills running north from Nysa to Otmuchów, the so-called Otmuchów-Nysa Hills. The first mentions of the village appear in the Latin "Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis" (Book of endowments of the Bishopric of Wrocław), written in the years 1295–1305, in the times of Bishop Henryk from Wierzbno. In the 13th century, it was a Slavic settlement, inhabited mainly by hunters and fishermen. The parish church of St. Andrew, built according to the design of Karl Friedrich Schinkel, dates from the 19th century. In the temple, there is a venerated painting of Our Lady of Łopatyn, which was brought after 1945 by displaced persons from the town of Łopatyn, located in the area of the former Tarnopol Voivodeship. The most important feast of the parish is the indulgence taking place on August 15, to which pilgrimages from the country and abroad arrive every year.
