Jakubowice is a village located in the Namysłów district, in the Wilków municipality.
The first mention of Jakubowice comes from a document issued by the knight Herbord of the Quas family in 1293. In 1355, the church in Jakubowice was listed in the register of the Namysłów deanery.
The showcase of the town is a palace, whose origins date back to the late 19th century. It was erected in 1882 by the Scholtz family.
The builder of the neoclassical residence was Moritz Karl Ernst von Prittwitz und Gaffron – a general and military engineer who supervised, among other things, the construction of the Poznań fortress and the federal fortress in Ulm, as well as the fortifications of Hohenzollern Burg near Hechingen. The palace was surrounded by moats, which were largely filled in 1926. The last owner of the building before World War II was Ulrich Scholz und Rautenstrauch. After 1945, it was inhabited by the employees of the nearby State Agricultural Farm.
Currently, the facility houses a hotel and an equestrian center.
