Skoroszyce is the seat of the municipality of the same name located in the Nysa district. The village was founded in the 13th century and until 1810 it belonged to the estates of the Bishopric of Wrocław, with the exception of the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries, when its owner was the Galler family originating from Styria. After the secularization of church property, the estate fell into the hands of private owners.
The contemporary showcase of the village is the Church of St. Hedwig with Baroque-style furnishings, including the stone tombstone plaque of Jerzy Wolff (who died in 1607), decorated with a bas-relief figure of a knight with a coat of arms cartouche, which is embedded in the outer wall of the nave. In the vicinity of the temple stands a 19th-century presbytery building. Other historic objects in Skoroszyce include a chapel from 1820 and a stone figure of St. John of Nepomuk, which dates from the first half of the 19th century, as well as a medieval stone penitential cross. In the village, there is also a manor house from the early 19th century, surrounded by a landscape park.
