Większyce is a village located in the Kędzierzyn-Koźle district and the Reńska Wieś municipality.
It is located near Koźle, at the intersection of the Opole-Racibórz and Gliwice-Nysa national roads. It is distinguished by its location on a small hill, which closes the Oder valley. The first mentions of the village appear in historical records from the first half of the 16th century. In 1740, after the capture of Koźle by Frederick II, the redoubt of Większyce was an element of the Koźle Fortress fortifications advanced in front of the defensive ramparts. In 1845, Większyce had a brickyard, a sugar factory, and two granges; there was also a bar distillery there. In 1871, a palace complex built of cream-colored brick was created. It was erected for the commercial councilor and philosopher Marc Heymann in the area of the landscape park founded by him.
During World War II, a hospital for officers, first German and then Soviet, operated in the palace, and after its end, it was the seat of the Folk University. Currently, it houses a restaurant.
