The avenue of pedunculate oaks in Głogówek is a row of 102 historic species specimens located on a meadow between the Osobłoga and Młynówka rivers. Their circumference varies from 44 to 581 cm, and their diameter at breast height – from 14 to 196 cm. The trees have a height of 9 to 27 meters. The sessile oak – alongside the pedunculate and pubescent oak – is one of the three native oak species occurring in Poland. As a long-lived species that can survive up to a thousand years, pedunculate oaks are valued in the timber industry and forestry and are the most typical element of the European landscape.
