The black alder in Kluczbork is a specimen located next to the railway station building. It is considered that the 200-year-old specimen is the oldest representative of this species on the territory of Poland. The tree's circumference approaches 390 cm, and its height – 30 meters. The black alder is a species belonging to the birch family, which grows mainly on the territory of Europe. The Polish name of the tree comes from the color of its bark, once used for black dyeing.
