The natural monument – a small-leaved linden in Łączany grows in a 19th-century park surrounding the ruined palace of the Pfoertner von der Hoelle family, about 40 m from the southern facade of the building. The circumference of the monumental tree is 527 cm, and its height is 25 meters. A concrete seal in the trunk acts as a filling for a longitudinal cavity in the tree. A metal band on the trunk and an information plaque also attract attention. The small-leaved linden is a species widespread in Europe and Asia. Its inflorescence is particularly valued and used as herbal raw material.
