Pedunculate oaks are natural monuments located in Brzeg. They grow along the avenue east of Wolności Street, between Krótka and Legionistów streets. The row is formed by nine pedunculate oaks aged about 110 – 150 years. This is one of several such plantings of ancient tree specimens, often protected as natural monuments in the town.
Next to the oak avenue, there is a group of 3 single plane trees and two plane tree avenues. As a long-lived species that can survive up to a thousand years, pedunculate oaks are valued in the timber industry and forestry and are the most typical element of the European landscape.
