The "Krzywiczyny" nature reserve is located about 2 km southwest of the village of Komorzno. It was created in order to protect and preserve a fragment of a mixed forest with an admixture of fir at the edges of its northern range in Silesia.
A small part of the former Komorzno Primeval Forest complex is included in the reserve.
In the tree stand, apart from fir (up to 180 years old), there are such tree species as sessile and pedunculate oak, common beech, common hornbeam, silver birch, Scots pine, European larch, Norway spruce, and sycamore maple, as well as over 30 species of vascular plants. A quite numerous population of purple foxglove has been found in the reserve, as well as habitats of mosses. The reserve area is subject to active protection.
Practical information:
The reserve area is under strict protection. No possibility of sightseeing.
On the road from Krzywiczyny to Komorzno, there is a forest parking lot with an information board.
