The Kamień Śląski reserve is located north of the village of Kamionek, in the vicinity of the "Górażdże" limestone mine. The purpose of its establishment is to protect a fragment of a mixed forest with a habitat of the wild service tree, at the north-eastern limit of this species' range in Europe. Furthermore, over 100 other species of vascular plants occur in the reserve, including the Martagon lily, broad-leaved helleborine, white helleborine, bird's-nest orchid, and common hepatica. The reserve area is subject to active protection.
