The Smolnik nature reserve is located within the Stobrawa Landscape Park in the village of Szumirad. It is one of the two floristic-forest reserves in the Opole Voivodeship. It encompasses a pond with a habitat of the water caltrop, as well as several other plant species subject to legal protection. Among them are marsh Labrador tea, stiff clubmoss and running clubmoss, alder buckthorn, round-leaved sundew, and mezereon. It is also a habitat for waterfowl and marsh birds. The Budkowiczanka river flowing through the reserve creates conditions for the habitation of beavers and otters. Wooden walkways partially lead through the reserve area.
