The Smolnik nature reserve is located within the Stobrawa Landscape Park in the village of Szumirad. It is one of the two floristic-forest reserves in the Opole Voivodeship. It encompasses a pond with a habitat of the water caltrop, as well as several other plant species subject to legal protection. Among them are marsh Labrador tea, stiff clubmoss and running clubmoss, alder buckthorn, round-leaved sundew, and mezereon. It is also a habitat for waterfowl and marsh birds. The Budkowiczanka river flowing through the reserve creates conditions for the habitation of beavers and otters. Wooden walkways partially lead through the reserve area. Practical information: The reserve is generally accessible (the part with platforms). Free admission. Free parking spaces in the village of Szumirad (a side road from route 494).
