The Nowa Kuźnia Pond (Staw Nowokuźnicki) is located within the reserve near the village of Nowa Kuźnia. It was created to protect the fauna and flora of aquatic and marsh habitats, and in particular the water caltrop – an endangered plant growing in reservoirs of standing water. Species such as the carnivorous waterwheel plant, floating fern, white water lily, and yellow water-lily also occur there. On the shore of the pond, there is a wide strip of reed beds and waterlogged alder carrs, where over a hundred species of birds live, including the little bittern, black stork, Eurasian penduline tit, common kingfisher, grey herons, western marsh harrier, and great crested grebe. An educational path runs through the reserve area via a special footbridge. Practical information: The place is generally accessible. Free admission. Access is limited. Free parking spaces on Stawowa Street.
