The park in Dobra is part of a 19th-century palace and park complex.
It is located next to the palace built in the 1750s for Erdmann Karl von Roedern. During its prime, the palace park was tended by the master gardener from Bad Muskau, Edward Petzold. It was intersected by numerous streams and small lakes, on which boats sailed and where waterfowl lived. Nearby was a teahouse and a rose garden flourished. Next to the largest pond stood a Swiss-style hotel.
Currently, the park includes green areas, including a linden avenue, as well as a lake with platforms – a favorite spot for anglers. By the lake, there are accommodation cabins, a playground for children, and a football and volleyball field.
In the southern part of the park, you can see a tomb for the Evangelical members of the Seherr-Thoss family. It was situated among pines and spruces on an artificially raised elevation.
