The Parish Botanical Garden in Zagwiździe was established in the 1920s. Its founder was the then parish priest, Father Franciszek Ogórek – the builder of the church in Zagwiździe. The main axis of the garden is a path surrounded by larches, birches, and rhododendrons. It is interrupted by a pergola ending in a gazebo. The garden area features small nooks, low walls overgrown with forget-me-nots, fountains, and places to draw water. A unique attraction of the garden is a chakra – a marble circle surrounded by trees. According to Hindu philosophy, it accumulates positive energy from the cosmos. The patron of the garden is St. Roch, whose figure with a dog can be spotted in several corners of the garden. Practical information: Sightseeing daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Free admission. Free parking at the presbytery of the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
