The "Nad Białką" Geological and Nature Reserve was created to preserve the landscape and geological values of the gorge of the Biała Głuchołaska river with traces of gold mining from the 12th to the 13th century. Most of the reserve is located on the high over-flood terrace of the Biała Głuchołaska, situated at the base of the slope of Góra Parkowa. Traces of old mining activity in the form of prospect pits (exploratory shafts), surface open pits, spoil tips, and talus have been preserved there. More than 150 species of vascular plants and many rare animal species occur in its area: the grey wagtail, white-throated dipper, and Eurasian water shrew. A yellow tourist trail and an educational nature path run through the reserve's area.
