The "Beech Forest" (Las Bukowy) reserve is one of four reserves located in the "Opawskie Mountains" Landscape Park and the "Opawskie Mountains" Natura 2000 area. It is situated on the north-western slopes of Przednia Kopa (Góra Chrobrego), which is part of the Góra Parkowa massif. The aim of creating the reserve was to preserve a tree stand with high natural and landscape values. The dominant species is the common beech. Among the representatives of fauna living here are the fire salamander, grey-headed woodpecker, and collared flycatcher. On the northern edges of the reserve, traces of mining activities from the 15th and 16th centuries have survived in the form of an adit near the Hunting Lodge (Domek Myśliwski) and the Highlander's Grotto (Grota Góralska). The adits are currently a habitat for bats, including the lesser horseshoe bats, which are endangered on a European scale. Tourist trails (red, yellow, and blue) and an educational nature path run through the reserve's area. Practical information: The facility is generally accessible. Paid parking spaces in the market square (paid parking zone).
