The monument to the fallen in World War I and II in Strzelce Opolskie was created after 1945, on the site of a 1924 monument commemorating the town's residents who fell during World War I and in the Silesian Uprising in 1921. It was one of the first monuments of this type erected in the area of then East Germany and the Strzelce district. The contemporary monument was created after 1945 and is dedicated to all heroes who fell for freedom and democracy in the years 1919-1945.
