The Plaque to the Victims of the Death March in Racławice Śląskie, located in front of the primary school in Racławice, commemorates the prisoners of the German death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau who were murdered in the Głogówek municipality in the winter of 1945. One of the evacuation routes from the Nazi concentration camp ran through it towards KL Gross-Rosen and the Czech Republic. During the liquidation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp, the Germans led out nearly 56,000 prisoners, of which one thousand lost their lives on the lands of the modern Opole Voivodeship.
