The Monument to the Victims of the Death March in Głuchołazy is a memorial site at the municipal cemetery, where a mass grave of prisoners murdered by the Nazis is located. Buried in it are 16 prisoners of the Auschwitz concentration camp, murdered during the evacuation to KL Gross-Rosen in January 1945, on the road between Charbielin and Gierałcice. These are victims of the so-called death marches, a mass evacuation of about 56,000 prisoners ahead of the approaching Soviet offensive. On the monument, you can see a relief referring to the tragedy of the prisoners, and an inscription plaque below.
