The monument to the glory of postal workers fallen in World War I in Opole was unveiled in 1930. It is located at the intersection of Korfantego, 1 Maja, and Krakowska streets, right next to the Main Post Office. The monument commemorates postal workers mobilized to the army and killed on the fronts of World War I. Its author was the Berlin sculptor Felix Kupsch. The monument depicts a mounted knight holding a torch on a 4-meter plinth. Until the end of World War II, there were commemorative inscriptions and a plaque with the names of the fallen on it.
