The monument of an anonymous Chemist in Kędzierzyn-Koźle is one of four busts – alongside the nameless Railwayman, Dr. Władysław Opolski, and Nobel laureate Robert Koch – located in front of the district starosty building on Freedom Square (plac Wolności).
The bust of the chemist is a reference to the companies operating in the chemical industry, which is the foundation of the economy of Kędzierzyn-Koźle.
On all busts, there are metal plaques with information about the honored figures. The author of the sculptures, which were unveiled in 2019, is Jarosław Jasiński, an artist from Bieruń.
