The monument of Stephen Báthory in Namysłów is a monument unveiled in September 2012 on the initiative of Namysłów's partner municipality of Kirskone from Hungary. The monument consists of a bust of the king placed on a granite column with an inscription in Polish and Hungarian. Stephen Báthory was the Prince of Transylvania and the husband of Anna Jagiellon. In 1575 he was proclaimed King of Poland. The ruler became famous for carrying out three victorious campaigns against Moscow ruled by Ivan IV the Terrible. Through his efforts, Poland gained control over almost the entire territory of Livonia. Practical information: The facility is accessible from the outside. Free parking at the corner of Kościuszki and Dąbrowskiego Streets.
