The monument to the executioner's wife in Otmuchów is a stone, polygonal column crowned with a pediment, which is equipped with a profiled cornice. In the pediment of the monument, there is an image painted on sheet metal depicting the patron saint protecting from the plague – St. Roch, being fed by an angel. As the engraved date suggests, it was created in 1654 – 21 years after the outbreak of the plague that struck Otmuchów in 1633. One of its victims was Anna Katarzyna Helbranin, which is informed by an inscription placed at the back of the monument. She was the wife of Krzysztof Kuhn – the local executioner, who funded the monument. Practical information: The facility can be viewed from the outside. Free parking spaces directly by the facility, on Wodna Street.
