The monument of Karol Musioł in Opole is a monument located by the Castle Bridge over the Młynówka river, dedicated to the chairman of the Opole City Council in the years 1952-1965, the initiator of the construction of the Millennium Amphitheater and the Opole Music School. Karol Musioł became famous as the organizer of the 1st Polish Song Festival in Opole in 1963. For his activity, he was honored multiple times with state decorations, and he was chosen as the "Opole Resident of the 800th Anniversary" by the city's inhabitants. He died on March 21, 1983. The monument of "Papa", as the residents of Opole referred to the activist, was erected according to the design of the sculptor, painter, and draftsman Witold Pichurski. The bronze sculpture is 2 meters high. The figure depicting the social activist was shown in motion, with his tie lifted by the wind and a briefcase in his left hand. The monument was unveiled on April 25, 2008. Practical information: The facility can be viewed from the outside. Free parking spaces along the road.
